Born in France, Claudia Revidat is a photographer and film director whose work lies at the crossroads of documentary and contemporary art. She explores the dialogue between the intimate and the universal, blending photographic approach, anthropological research, and visual experimentation.

Discovering photography at an early age as both a refuge and a language of its own, she found in it a way to transform her wounds into creative matter. Her work delves into memory, vulnerability, and the human capacity for reconstruction, weaving together the personal and the collective in a single breath.

Driven by a genuine desire to understand herself and others, Claudia seeks to build authentic connections with those she photographs. Her artistic journey began in Mongolia, during a transformative trip in search of meaning and belonging, which gave birth to Youth of Land, a celebration of youth across the world.

For over a decade, she has immersed herself in remote communities, from the Mongolian steppes to the Maasai tribes of Kenya, from the Kogis of Colombia to the people of India, Ethiopia, and Uganda,  shaping a body of work that is deeply human, sensitive, and committed.

Her long-term project Women of Fire has been recognised by the In Cadaqués Festival, the PhotoVogue Festival in Milan, and the Prix Picto. Her images have also been published in Human, the book of the Prix Pictet, revealing the strength and resilience of the Mursi and Surma women of Ethiopia through powerful and vibrant portraits. In 2025, her series Sentinels of Karamoja, dedicated to the fragility and dignity of the Karamojong people in Uganda, was exhibited in Milan by PhotoVogue. Her series From Dusk Till Dawn, which received the Public Award at RPBB, is currently on display along the railings of Square Léon Blum in Boulogne-Billancourt.

She is currently working on Dancing to Resist, a project developed over the past two years in the coal mines of India, portraying young girls who find freedom through dance despite the harshness of their reality. The project combines a short film and a photographic series supported by Carmencita Film Lab and Kodak.

At the same time, Claudia continues the second chapter of her long-term project Women of Fire, to which she returned in March 2025 through her collaboration with Xiaomi and Leica, pursuing her exploration of resilience, femininity, and light.

In addition to her documentary work, Claudia Revidat is also active in the worlds of fashion and beauty, collaborating with renowned brands and publications such as i-D, Vogue Italia, Dior, Telegraph Luxury, Chanel, AnOther Magazine, Armani, L’Oréal, and many others. Through her lens, she conveys a deep sensitivity to natural beauty and human emotion, a quality that resonates throughout both her fashion imagery and her portraiture.

The fundamental aim of my work is to unveil the beauty of the world, to celebrate the pride and profound connection between humans, their cultures, and their environment. My perspective is infused with emotion because I want viewers to feel the humanity and richness of my encounters through my photographs. My work seeks to capture the essence of each moment, to transcend superficiality and delve into the very core of the human experience, and to evoke deep contemplation about life, suffering, and resilience." Claudia, 2024, interview for FOTOCULT Magazine

" As a photographer and film director, I am deeply fascinated by communities and minority groups. My artistic journey and personal history have propelled me to take bold stances in order to represent the realities of the world that touch and inspire me, and that I wish to share. Through my work, I strive to amplify and empower the subjects I capture. My primary motivation is always guided by a sincere desire to help and support those I encounter. I hope that, in the long run, my work will also serve as a source of empowerment for the individuals and communities with whom I interact. "  Claudia, 2023 Paris
